Since 2024, she has served as the chief wellness officer at GW Medicine , where she leads strategic initiatives to enhance resilience and well-being for faculty, staff, students and healthcare professionals in the clinics and at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Frame’s work draws upon an extensive background in program development, biomedical research and innovative educational design.
In 2021, Dr. Frame co-founded the GW Resiliency & Well-being Center, serving as its first associate director and research director before being promoted as the Center’s director in 2024. She established the Center’s mission and vision, created interdisciplinary programs and built impactful partnerships, including a memorandum of understanding with the GW Law School, working to extend comprehensive wellness support across the university. The Center’s influence reaches beyond GW through consultations with organizations such as the Hawaii State Department of Health and the DC Department of Health. Dr. Frame’s initiatives include themed annual programming such as “Restorative Sleep,” “Building Well-being: Focus on the Gut,” and “Lifestyle for Well-being and Resilience.”
Since 2019, Dr. Frame has also served as executive director of the GW Office of Integrative Medicine and Health, where she has launched the GW Integrative Medicine Podcast (c. 2018), developed the biomedical cross-disciplinary seminar series, expanded continuing medical education offerings and partnered with the Linus Pauling Institute to promote nutrition science communication. Additionally, she led the transformation of GW’s integrative medicine programs, creating new nutrition-focused degrees, graduate certificates and credentialing pathways in lifestyle medicine and clinical nutrition.
Dr. Frame’s professional influence extends through her work as co-founder of Recondite Consulting and as a consultant to wellness and health companies, including Haleon PLC, EverLast Health and People Brand Co. She serves on the scientific advisory boards of ASYSTEM, Evimero and AIM Health Institute, and has previously advised TerraCycle Discovery, Covimro Ltd. and uBiome. Earlier, Dr. Frame served as a board member for Kidney Space, a Johns Hopkins-affiliated support platform for kidney patients and their caregivers. Most recently, she co-founded a novel dietary supplement platform to support the gut microbiome, launching September 2025 as Good Bacteria, part of Other Cultures LLC.
An associate professor in the department of clinical research and leadership with a secondary appointment in the department of physician assistant studies, Dr. Frame previously served as program director of integrative medicine and assistant professor, where she founded the Frame-Corr Lab. Earlier, she held positions as senior project manager and team lead at Sapient Government Services and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 2016 to 2018, instructor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2016 and senior research program coordinator at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine from 2014 to 2016.
Dr. Frame’s early career combined rigorous scientific training with clinical and teaching roles. Between 2010 and 2014, she served as a teaching assistant at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, while also working as a research assistant from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, she interned at Nutramax Laboratories, gaining experience in dietary supplement product development and quality systems, following her completion of the Mary Frances Picciano Dietary Supplement Research Practicum at the NIH in 2011. Dr. Frame’s professional journey began in 2006, when she worked as a research coordinator and polysomnogram technician at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
A committed educator and speaker, Dr. Frame has delivered invited talks worldwide on nutrition, the microbiome and integrative health. Prior to completing her postdoctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, she earned a PhD in human nutrition from the prestigious Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Earlier, she earned a Master of Health Science in molecular microbiology and immunology from the same school. She completed her Bachelor of Science in biochemistry with distinction from Mary Baldwin College (now University). As a lifelong learner, Dr. Frame earned a graduate certificate in Leadership Development from George Washington University in 2020 and became a certified yoga instructor in 2025.
Dr. Frame’s editorial leadership is extensive, with roles including an editorial board member for Global Advances in Integrative Medicine and Health after serving as one of its associate editors and topic board editor for the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health. Her professional affiliations include membership on the Board of Regents for the Applied Microbiomics Society, the Alpha Eta Honor Society for the Allied Health Professions and The Cosmos Club.
Well-regarded for her contributions to the field, Dr. Frame has been recognized with numerous honors, including being named one of the Top 100 Healthcare Leaders by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare in 2021 and receiving the American Society for Nutrition’s 2022 Nutrition Education & Behavioral Science Early Career Award. Additionally, Dr. Frame’s expertise has been featured internationally across prominent media outlets such as The Washington Post, CNN, The Guardian, CBS Evening News and many others.
Reflecting on her career, Dr. Frame attributes her success to perseverance and an ability to perceive opportunities that others may overlook. Outside her professional roles, Dr. Frame enjoys travel and hiking with her spouse, cooking, spending time with her cats, and practicing yoga.
